Bondi Chai Crusted Ginger Spice Biscuits

For all our fans who love to bake cookies here is a recipe for you to try.

Kirsti from the Harris Farm Markets Food Crew put a recipe together for Bondi Chai Crusted Ginger Spice Biscuits which she says "flew" out the door at her instore demonstrations.

2 tsp Bondi Chai, 1tsp ground ginger, 1/2 Cup butter (softened), 1 Cup raw sugar, 1 1/2 Cups plain four, 1 egg.

Cream butter and sugar, fold in egg and ground ginger. Add flour and form into a firm dough. Roll into a log and roll in the Bondi Chai powder. Cover with cling film and chill the cookie dough for 20 minutes. Slice off biscuits and cook for 10-15 minutes.

Kirsti tells me the Chai Crust also works well with plain biscuits.

If you've got any favourite Bondi Chai recipes tell us what they are so we can share them.

Bondi Chai all over Sydney

Only 250g packs available

OK Sydney fans I will try and keep this simple :) We have a new team in Sydney who are doing a fantastic job. The following outlets are now stocking our 250g packs - Ashcrofts Supa IGA in Moss Vale, Dural Gourmet Deli, Figtree Green Grocer in Lane Cove, Fresh Co Fruit Market at West Epping and Tongue Teasers Deli.

250g packs and sticks available

Part 2 - The following outlets have gone BONDI CHAI CRAZY and are offering the 250g deli packs AND the boxes of 8 sachets - so they can keep everybody happy! Rush in now to Dijon Foods in Caringbah, Fita Fruit in Turramurra, Fruitezy Chatswood, Norton Street Grocer (Leichhardt and Bondi Junction) and Paradise Fruitland (Waitara/East Lindfield).

Sachet sticks only available

OK - so now we need to "spread the love" and sprinkle Bondi Chai all over the Sydney area. The following are stocking just the box of 8 sachets. Hopefully we have everyone covered with this final list:

NORTHERN SUBURBS: Forestway Fresh, Terrey Hills and Village Grocer Stockland Balgowlah

NORTH SHORE: IGA North Sydney, IGA Waverton, Kirribilli Deli, Losurdos Fresh in North Sydney and Neutral Bay Fresh Food Grocer

INNER WEST: Trim Fresh Leichhardt Marketplace

WEST: Bossley Park General Store and Deli, IGA Luddenham, Kurmonds Continental Deli

SOUTH: Menai Central Fruit World

and last but not least - SOUTH WEST: Deli Extra in Liverpool, Mintos Fruit Orchard and The Town Grocer in Narellan

I think that deserves a round of applause for our new team in Sydney.
